120 Nautically Inspired Icons

Free Nautical Icons

The idea to sketch out some nautical themed icons has been floating around in my head for quite some time. Originally, I envisioned this as just a couple icons. However, after getting underway, I realized there was a lot more content I wanted to produce. In fact, there a multiple versions of most the icons that were left off the artboard. What you see here is a fraction of what I came up with.

The icons were all drawn in illustrator as mostly line art. So it's going to be super easy to change both the color or the weight of the illustration. However, if you want to make the icons into solid shapes, it's going to take some effort.

I like your design!
Are these icons only for personal use or free to use both commercial and personal?

which version of Illustrator did you make these icons in? The icons you created are very nice and I would love to use them. Is there a way that I can get your icons in .ai version CS5?

    HI Jenny,

I made these in CS6. However, I saved out a version in CS2, I will upload the revised zip file in a few hours. If you want, I can email you the revised zip. Is your email address the one you provided to make this comment?

Hi Mike. I’m out of the studio for the next week. If you retweet the post you can snag the cs2 version. Otherwise I will send it after the 27th.

Hi GG, both twitter and FB are free to sign up for.
The reason I ask for people share this socially is because I am giving away content that took me quite a long time to create. The return exposure I get from the social share is payment enough for me.

However, if you do not want to create a FB or twitter account, send me a message (via my contact link) and I will email you the file.
