Oregon Travels – Devil’s Elbow Cove

by neeko on Jul.10, 2010, under Oregon Travels, Photography

Located in Oregon, North of Florence and south of Yachats, is Heceta Head State Park (which includes Devils Elbow State Park). Devil’s Elbow Cove is easily accessible from the 101 and offers tremendous views, lighthouses and trails.

This is the bridge we crossed over, heading North on the 101.

Yeah, it’s kind of big. That’s Cape Creek, flowing into the Pacific.

The cliffs along the cove are dotted with small little caves.

The low tide enabled us to easily head up the along the shore.

A mussel encrusted boulder.

There were quite a few sea anemone in the little tide pools.

Some of the large rock structures off the north point of the cove.

The blue sign reads something about not climbing on the rocks.

Again, looking back south at the mouth of Cape Creek.

The North point of the cove.
